Hello,

Soil acidification in agriculture land (a continuous decline of soil pH caused by fertilizer applicationsand its adverse effects on soil and crop health have been long recognized worldwide. Liming, a method to increase soil pH, has been practiced for centuries. However, it is a challenging practice for PNW farmers for many reasons.

WSU Farmers Network is hosting an workshop event Soil Acidity Amelioration on February 21, 2019 at 7:45am – 3:45pm at Banyans on the Ridge, Pullman, WA. You will learn if and when we need to lime the acidified soils and locally available materials for PNW farmers to use as an alternative to traditional agriculture lime, and more...... Please check out this timely topic for details and read about Low Soil pH: to Lime or not to Lime.

Best wishes,

Haiying
